All the information you need to travel to Cape Town can be found below, including flights, hotels, accommodations, travel agents, and more! Visit the FAQ section for even more details.

For those of you traveling, thank you for making the long journey to come celebrate with us, we truly appreciate it! ❤️

There are 2 main options for getting to Cape Town from the USA:

  1. Connect through Europe (London, Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt) and fly directly to Cape Town International Airport (CPT).

  2. Fly directly to Johannesburg Airport (JNB) from NYC, DC or Atlanta, and then take a connecting flight to CPT.

    • If you fly through JNB, you could always stay a few days and go on Safari before you head down to the Mother City (Cape Town).

Flights ✈️ typically range around $700-$1000 from the US, which is why we are giving you plenty of notice before booking. If you are able to make all of the hosted events, you should ideally arrive on Sunday, 11/17, so you have time to settle before the first event.

We recommend that you download the Hopper 🐰 app and track the flight’s prices. You ideally want only one stop and a short layover between flights.

If you’d like to book through our travel agent, see her details below.

Radisson RED

Silo 6, Silo Square
V&A Waterfront
Cape Town,
South Africa

$160/night - single room
$175/night - double room
(this rate already includes taxes & fees)*

Discounted group rates are now available at the Radisson RED 🏨! We encourage you to stay at the hotel as this will be the central meeting point for the week, shuttle pick-up location, and the hosting venue for two events (welcome drinks & goodbye brunch). We stayed at this particular hotel during our last visit and loved our experience - it’s really hip, modern, and located right in the heart of the V&A Waterfront. It was recently built in 2017 and can be compared to The Moxy or any millennial-centric boutique hotel.

*If you need a family room that fits 4 people (includes an additional two bunk beds) please contact our travel agent, Patricia (details below). Hotel rates are approximate as the currency conversion may change over time.

You are free to stay wherever you prefer, and if hotels aren't your thing, feel free to book an Airbnb! Check out the different types of neighborhoods we recommend here.

We will be arranging transportation 🚌 for all of the events hosted outside of the Cape Town city center! If you plan on exploring the city outside of the hosted events (and we encourage you to!) there are a few options:

  • Ubers 🚘 are super reliable and accessible in Cape Town! You can find them easily available once you land in CPT. They are also an affordable way to get around with a 15-minute ride usually costing no more than a few dollars.

  • It is also easy to rent a car 🚗 in Cape Town. You can arrange to rent a car from CPT before you arrive. Many car rental companies also operate in the Cape Town city center. Keep in mind in South Africa, they drive on the left-hand side of the road, and their cars – rental cars included – are right-hand drive vehicles.
